Independent Medical Opinions for Veterans Wrongfully Denied Service Connection for Hearing Loss & Tinnitus

If you filed a claim with the Veterans Administration for compensation due to service connected hearing loss or tinnitus, and your claim was denied, Veterans

Audiology can help you get the benefits you earned.

In order to appeal the VA's decision, you may  file a Supplemental Claim with new and relevant evidence. Veterans Audiology can provide evidence that was not previously considered. Our Independent Medical Opinions provide the nexus between your claimed condition and your military service.

Don't Wait too Long

If you fail to submit a supplemental claim (or other decision review option) within one year of the VA's denial decision, your claim is no longer considered continuously pursued. The original effective date is lost. That means you will not receive back pay for the months/years that you have waited for a decision in your favor.

Under current law, service connected tinnitus is rated 10% regardless of hearing disability. The Veterans Administration eventually plans to discontinue granting service connection tinnitus for Veterans, who are not also service connected for hearing loss. If you do not have a continuously pursued claim, you can be judged under the new criteria.

Records Review

In order to determine if there was an error in your service connection Rating Decision, Veterans Audiology offers a complete Records

Review. We will review your medical and military records, along with the VA Rating Decision. If there was a mistake, we will find it!
